COUGARS Australian Football Club
The second oldest club in the CAFL was founded at University Canterbury in 2000 by Andrew Crab(-a-dab-a doo), as the club song goes to the tune of the Flintstones. The Cougars were the main rival in the early days of the CAFL.
With a great social culture, the Cougars won Premierships in 2004-05. They dug deep for many years and won a long awaited third flag in 2018, the Terry Anderson Shield in 2020 (played between the Bulldogs and Cougars annually) and were CAFL Runners-Up in 2022.
The Cougars players come from near and far, not just the Uni and are now coached by Harry Peterson, and will look to go one better in 2024.
Play for the Cougars!
